George Webb died from wounds on 18th April, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 4th Royal Fusiliers battalion was part of 9 Brigade, 3rd Division, that had been on the Western Front since the beginning of the war in August, 1914 and had been holding the line around Ypres during the early months of 1915.
